BSP / NPT · compression & quick-release couplings
Fittings & Adaptors

Thread standards are not interchangeable: BSP (British Standard Pipe) and NPT (National Pipe Thread) fittings look similar but are not compatible with each other, and mixing them can produce a joint that appears tight but does not seal. Every fitting we list states its thread standard, size and connection type — compression, quick-release or threaded. An isolating valve fitted before a spur or appliance connection is good practice, as it allows maintenance without draining or shutting off the whole system.
